Stir-a-story was born from a lesson it took me years to learn.

I spent years shaping a strategy I never had the time—or courage—to share. It lived in my classroom, in quiet notes, in bedtime stories with my son.

Eventually, life kept asking,

What are you really here to do?”,

I finally answered.

Child's drawing of a dinosaur on paper, in brown, pink, and purple colors.
Text that reads 'About Us' with decorative design elements.
A family of three, including a man, a woman, and a young boy, sitting at a white table outdoors on a sunny day. They are playing with toy cars and engaging in a creative activity. The background shows a black fence, greenery, and buildings.
Inspirational quote in handwritten style blue text on black background, saying 'Your voice matters, even if the story isn't perfect. Especially if it isn't.'
Children gathered around a colorful display on a balcony, painting or drawing on a large piece of paper. A table with bottles and jars is in the background.

I always loved stories.

But play? I didn’t feel good at it.

When my son was little, pretending didn’t come easily.

Then I tried the same storytelling structure I used in the classroom: a color, an animal, a shape.

Suddenly, it clicked.

It felt like play, but with a cheat code.

That’s how Stir a Story began - as a bridge between story and play, between imagination and connection.

“I never felt like I was good at play. Then the story showed me I already was”.

Now, I help others find their way into story and connection - whether that is in the classroom or the at home.

There is no right way to tell a story.

No perfect words.

No performance required.
